For international students who wish to study in the universities of the United States, they would need a study visa. The study visa process takes a long time; hence, start preparing for the process at least five months before your college orientation. Here is a step-by-step guide to apply for a USA study visa.

USA study visa process step by step:

Step 1: Apply to SEVP approved school

Their chosen institution should fall under the SEVP, Student and Exchange Visitor Program for international students. Go to the “Study in the States website” to pick any accredited institutions. Apply to any relevant university of your choice. Attach relevant documents as instructed by the college. Submit your evidence of sufficient financial ability.

Step 2: SEVIS fees

After completion of the form, pay the SEVIS fees. It should be delivered three days before you apply for a US visa. Step 3: USA Student Visa

Apply for a USA student Visa through the US embassy or consulate. It might take 120 days for the Visa to be issued; hence, apply early.

Step 4: Pay the Application fees

It is essential to know that the application for visa fees is known as Machine Readable Visa Fee MRV. Review the payment instructions available online or on the Embassy website. There are three mediums to pay the non-refundable application fee: approved bank, phone through fees confirmation number or online.

Step 5: Student Visa Interview

The Last step in securing a US student visa is to appear for an interview. Arrange a consultation with the nearest US embassy either online or through a call. Completing the MRV payment before the interview requires an MRV fee number.
