To get a student visa for Germany. First, you have to secure admission to a German university. That’s why first I will explain the admission process and then combine it with the visa process. At the start, acquire admission to a German university then start your visa process. German student visa process and it’s requirements are quite easy for Bangladeshi students as compare to Indian and Pakistani students.
Procedure to Get Admission in a German University:
You can study free in Germany in the following levels: bachelor, master, doctoral and postdoctoral. First, you have to secure your admission to a German university to apply student visa for any level mentioned above. To get admission, you have to follow the three-step process.
1- Document Preparation
Educational documents are one of the most important requirements to apply for admission to any university. So, arrange all your current educational certificates and degrees. These educational documents depend on your current level of studies. If you are going to apply for a bachelor’s degree, then you have to apply first in studienkolleg. For that, you need your 10th and 12-grade certificates.
In case you are going to apply for a master’s degree. Then you need your 10th, 12th grade plus bachelor’s degree. Similarly, to apply for admission in doctoral and postdoctoral degrees, you need 10th, 12th, bachelor and master’s degrees. So, write it in a perfect way about your current educational status, what you are going to study, why you chose this subject/degree or university, why you choose Germany for study and finally how this degree will help you. 3- University Search

Some universities accept direct admission on their own online portals. Others accept admission via Uni-assist. So, check this information in admission application details. For online application, use scanned copies of your educational documents. To send via post, use notary attested photocopies of your original documents. Beware and don’t send original documents to any university.
Once you complete your admission application, you have to wait a few days for a reply from the university. If the university will accept your documents then they will immediately send you an acceptance letter/offer letter. This letter you can use to get a student visa.

1- Open Blocked Account
Germany offers free education but not give money for living expenses. As you know, when a person lives in a foreign country than living expenses definitely incurred. Apply for a blocked account after choosing the bank. You will get confirmation of the opened blocked account along with your account details. Transfer required money in it that is 10,236 euros. You will get a confirmation letter or bank statement after a successful transfer. Pakistani and Indian students can also open blocked accounts in some local banks. But this facility not available for Bangladeshi students.
2- Book Appointment
Right after blocked account opening procedure, book a visa appointment in German embassy Bangladesh. You can book this appointment online by using this link. Try to book an appointment as early as possible. Because sometimes it took so long to get confirmation from the embassy. Especially at the start of the admission season. The embassy also recommends that Bangladeshi students apply as early as possible.
3- Prepare Documents
You completed all the difficult steps. Now time to prepare all the documents according to the requirement of the German embassy Bangladesh. Bangladeshi students need the following documents to apply for a student visa:
- University acceptance letter
- Proof of blocked account / Scholarship / Sponsor letter
- Valid passport (with the validity of at least 12 months)
- 3 biometric passport size photographs (not older than 6 months)
- 2 Visa application forms

- Travel health insurance (for minimum 14 days)

4- Interview Preparation

5- Appear in Embassy

6- Get Visa and Fly to Germany
